At 2012 edition of Techtextil North America (April 24-26, 2012) in Atlanta (GA), ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, has organized a Meeting Point where some Italian machinery manufacturers involved in the production of machines for technical textiles will show their innovative solutions. These companies are: Cormatex Srl, Dell'Orco & Villani Srl, Loptex Italia Srl, Ratti Luino Srl, and Saspe Srl.

Exports of Italian machinery to Canada in the 15 Machines Italia reference sectors increased by a stunning 34.98%, in 2011.   An remarkable result considering that in the same period, the total Canadian imports (of the same 15 sectors) increased overall by 13.43%. 

With wind and nuclear energy industries experiencing significant activity this year, Italy's DAVI is taking international orders for the world's largest four roll plate bending machinery available on the market.

Piaggio Group Chairman and CEO Roberto Colaninno announced that the Piaggio Group, owners of Moto Guzzi, Aprilia, Vespa scooters and Piaggio scooters, among other brands, is preparing to open an Advanced Design Center in Pasadena, California. Miguel Galluzzi, the famed designer, has been named to head the center.

According to recent statistics from Istat, the Italian Statistical Agency, elaborated by Unacea, a newly formed association representing the Italian construction equipment industry, the Italian export of construction machinery and equipment grew by a stunning 23% with respect to the previous year.
