According to recent statistics from Istat, the Italian Statistical Agency, elaborated by Unacea, a newly formed association representing the Italian construction equipment industry, the Italian export of construction machinery and equipment grew by a stunning 23% with respect to the previous year. For 2011, the total value of Italy's export of construction machinery and equipment worldwide surpassed 2,226 million Euros.

On Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at the Toronto Board of Trade, The Consul General of Italy, Gianni Bardini, and the Toronto office of the Italian Trade Commission, hosted a cocktail reception to welcome the new Italian Trade Commissioner in Canda, Ascal Bova and to officially launch the Italian Trade Commission's newest book in the series The Italian Edge entitled Technology for Sustainability.

According to Italy's federation of Italian machinery manufacturers' associations, FEDERMACCHINE, Italy's provision to US manufacturers of machinery and technology increased 32.8% for the first quarter of 2011.

The European Commission is preparing to introduce Phase V for the reduction of fine particles. The Comamoter manufacturers association has accepted the challenge of a further reduction of emission pollutants. The strategy enacted on construction sites for the renewal of the machinery inventory, very often obsolete, noisy and dangerous for operators, is fundamental.
