Countdown For EIMA INTERNATIONAL 2021
FEDERUNACOMA has been organizing EIMA INTERNATIONAL in Bologna since 1969, the exhibition of machinery for agriculture, gardening and related components, a rendezvous for the sector at the world level. The 44th edition of the fair will' take place Oct. 19-23, 2021.

On the other hand, from November 11 to 15, 2020, EIMA Digital Preview will take place, the virtual preview of the Bologna exhibition, which will be hosted on "Fiera Smart 365" platform, a specially created digital platform and will be a bridging event with the physical exhibition. Visitors will be able to access the online platform free of charge after registering, "visit" and contact all two thousand exhibiting companies at EIMA INTERNATIONAL and schedule appointments and presentations. As part of EIMA Digital Preview, ample space will be devoted to webinars, workshops, conferences and technical demonstrations, similar to what will take place during the physical event in October. The Agora section will gather' these educational and information appointments.

On October 23, 2020, the ICE Agency office in Houston and FEDERUNACOMA organized a web conference to launch the EIMA INTERNATIONAL project, namely EIMA Digital Preview and EIMA INTERNATIONAL in Bologna in October 2021 and present the program of incoming North American delegations to both events.

The combination of the digital preview and the physical trade show, according to FEDERUNACOMA, comes at a time when global demand for machinery is very high and companies are expressing the need to connect with the supply of machinery and technology solutions that meet the needs of farms and agricultural operations worldwide.
In the U.S., despite the Covid-19 emergency, the tractor market showed positive signs in the first nine months of 2020 with about 219,000 new vehicles registered, 15 percent more than the same period in 2019. The U.S. is one of the main destination countries for Italian agricultural technology exports. In 2019, Italian tractor exports to the U.S. amounted to 87 million euros (fourth largest market after France, Germany and Spain), while agricultural machinery exports from Italy to the U.S. reached 400 million euros (second largest market after France), confirming the growth trend originated in 2017.

The first six months of 2020 recorded a decline in Italian exports of both tractors and agricultural machinery, but this was a contraction resulting from the generalized blockade of economic activity in March and April generated by the pandemic containment measures. The great importance of Italian agricultural technology to U.S. operators is also evidenced by the growing appeal of EIMA INTERNATIONAL. The fair, in fact, has seen a significant increase in the number of U.S. visitors-more than tripled over time-reaching an all-time high (976) in the 2018 edition, thanks to the organizational and financial intervention of ICE Agenzia.
