About 100 companies will exhibit at Expo Pack Guadalajara on a total area of about 19,000 square meters, while the number of visitors will be around 25,000.
ICE-Agency and UCIMA - Unione Costruttori Italiani Macchine Automatiche per il Confezionamento e l'Imballaggio - will participate in the event with an Italy Point that will host eleven prominent companies, from the sector: Agriflex, Camozzi, Cellografica Gerosa, Imeta, Ilpra, IMS Deltamatic, Matrix, Melegari Manghi, Reda, Tropical Food Machinery.
In 2016, Italian exports of packaging and packing machinery and equipment to Mexico totaled nearly € 115 million. Italy ranks second among the largest Mexican suppliers of technology in the sector, with a market share of 18.2 percent.
According to a UCIMA study ("IL CUBO"), by 2018 the value of the packaging machinery market in Mexico will grow by 5.3 percent, and the sectors expected to grow the most include cosmetics, with a 6.2 percent increase, and food and chemicals, both with a 6.1 percent increase.
