gruppo Fanti, a Bologna-based metal packaging manufacturer, will open its first U.S. plant in Weirton, planning to invest $30 million in the Brooke County (Weirton, West Virginia) operation.

The new manufacturing facility will produce metal packaging containers with state-of-the-art equipment, initially creating 40 new full-time jobs.
This investment is not only the first manufacturing plant in the United States for parent company Gruppo Fanti, but also the largest expansion project in the company's 77-year history. Renovations are expected to be completed in the latter part of 2022, and the plant is expected to go into operation soon after.
