The legalization of cannabis has opened up new business opportunities. In California alone, legal cannabis sales exceeded $1 billion last year ($1.1 billion to be precise), according to a recent CBS News study. Currently, with the legalization of cannabis for medicinal purposes in 23 states and the District of Columbia, entrepreneurs and companies are sniffing out business. Such is the case, for example, with Kush Bottles, a Los Angeles-based company that manufactures containers and accessories for the cannabis industry and has been listed on the "Inc. 5000 list of Fastest Growing Companies in America." Kush Bottles placed 774th, falling within the group of top 1,000 companies, which includes companies such as Microsoft, GoPro,Yelp, Domino's Pizza, Zillow, Timberland, Vizio, Intuit, Chobani, Oracle and Zappos.

So far, Kush Bottles has sold more than 50 million containers in all 23 U.S. states where the use of marijuana for medical purposes is permitted and in Canada. In addition, this year Kush Bottles acquired Dank Bottles, a Colorado company, making it the only legal cannabis container manufacturer with a complete network of distribution centers in the three largest U.S. markets-California, Colorado, and Washington.
