Italian machinery maker Amut has acquired Comer Engineering, which manufactures sorting and treatment lines, to create Amut Ecotech. Amut says the acquisition will allow it expand its product range so will offer lines that can be placed upstream of its own products for washing and recycling thermoplastics. Comer Engineering is based in Maserada sul Piav, Italy, and manufactures equipment for sorting urban waste, plastics and E&E waste. Amut says the new firm has already received orders worth €10m.
