Machines Italia representatives during the "Italy and the Midwest" seminar sponsored by the Consul of Italy in Detroit, Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation, City of Cleveland and the Cleveland Council on World Affairs, discussed the competitive advantages Italian machinery manufacturers offered to Ohio based manufacturers.

During the April 7th, 2011 program, The Italian Edge: Technology for Excellence was presented to Ms. Laura Soave, President of Fiat USA as the book included coverage of the latest innovation offered by Fiat. Ms. Laura Soave, in addition to Machines Italia representatives were part of a panel of experts discussing Italy's contribution to Ohio manufacturing and the region's productivity.

A luncheon followed the panel at which speeches were done by the Ambassador of Italy to the US, Honorable Giulio Terzi di Sant'Agata along with the Governor of the State of Ohio, Honorable John Kasich.
