Chihuahua Attracts More than $250 Million Dollars in New Investments

According to data from the Center for Economic and Social Information (CIES), during the second quarter of 2024, Chihuahua led in attracting new investments, totaling 251.2 million dollars.

This performance is largely due to the nearshoring phenomenon, which has prompted companies to relocate their operations to Mexico. Chihuahua, with its strategic geographic location, skilled labor force, and industrial promotion policies, has become an attractive destination for these investments.

Among the 12 new investments, internationally renowned companies such as Inventec, Essilor Luxxotica, Siemens, and Regal Rexnord have announced the start-up of new projects in the state, which will generate more than 7,500 jobs and strengthen key sectors such as automotive, electronics, aerospace and medical devices.

Chihuahua's attraction strategy is focused on attracting high-value-added projects, to consolidate Chihuahua as a benchmark in the manufacture of electric vehicles, semiconductors, and aerospace components.

In addition to new investments, Chihuahua has also registered significant growth in the reinvestment of profits and intercompany accounts, reflecting investors' confidence in the state's economy.
