Forging a Sustainable Future: Innovation Takes Center Stage at Cernobbio Forum

Italy's top innovation leaders gathered at the Made in Italy Innovation Forum held in Cernobbio (June 23–25), to shape the future of sustainable manufacturing. Hosted by MICS and funded through Italy’s PNRR program, the event focused on ecological and digital transformation across three key sectors: Furniture and Wood, Automation and Mechanics, and Apparel. Topics included Industry 4.0 and 5.0, AI, green technologies, and the circular economy. Scm Group illustrated its decades of expertise in machinery and innovation, with President Enrico Aureli highlighting the industry's role in global manufacturing. He emphasized cross-sector “contamination” and collaboration to overcome macroeconomic challenges like U.S. tariffs. The forum facilitated dialogue among companies, institutions, and researchers, celebrating Made in Italy’s creativity, quality, and sustainability. The forum reaffirmed Italy's committed shift toward low-impact, high-value production through cutting-edge technology and collaborative strategy.
