Italian Pasta Manufacturer Andriani Begins Operations at New London, Ontario Plant

Italian food manufacturer Andriani has officially opened its first North American production facility, a 65,000-square-foot plant in London, Ontario. The $33-million facility will supply approximately 1,300 retailers across Canada and the U.S., marking a major step in the company’s international growth.

From Italy to North America
Headquartered in Puglia, Italy, Andriani produces gluten-free, high-protein pasta using ingredients such as chickpeas and red lentils. The new facility allows the company to localize production for the North American market, reducing shipping from Europe and improving sustainability.

Economic Impact and Job Creation
The London plant currently employs around 20 workers and is expected to expand to 40 employees as operations scale up. Local economic development officials have welcomed Andriani’s investment, noting its contribution to strengthening London’s food manufacturing sector.

Strategic Location
London, Ontario was selected for its agricultural resources and robust supplier network, which support Andriani’s gluten-free and organic product lines. A grand opening ceremony is planned for late October, celebrating the company’s successful entry into the North American market.

Brands and Future Growth
Andriani’s key brands include Felicia, a gluten-free pasta, and Biori, made with organic grains. With strong initial traction, the company has ambitious plans for growth, offering potential opportunities for suppliers of production machinery, automation systems, and other manufacturing technologies.
