Italy Invests in the US: Italy's ADR Axles Accelerates U.S. Expansion with Iowa’s Shovel-Ready Advantage

Italy's ADR Axles USA Inc. subsidiary chose Perry, Iowa, for its new $14.3 million U.S. facility, drawn by the area’s quality of life, skilled workforce, and shovel-ready industrial site. The company plans to employ at least 35 people, including relocated managers, and may expand in five years. Perry’s amenities and proximity to Des Moines Area Community College, which trains students in automated manufacturing, were key factors. The site’s readiness accelerated ADR’s timeline, aligning with its goal to reduce delivery delays and better serve U.S. customers. Iowa’s Certified Site Program, launched in 2012 after losing a deal to Nebraska, has since attracted over $2.2 billion in investment. ADR’s decision reflects the program’s success in offering fast, utility-ready development options near major clients.
