Italy's Caracol, a global leader in large-format additive manufacturing, has opened a new 10,000-square-foot U.S. headquarters and production center in Austin, Texas. Inaugurated in early September, the facility triples Caracol’s U.S. footprint, combining R&D, application development, and production under one roof. It supports up to 100 Heron AM and Vipra AM robotic platforms annually, built to aerospace-grade ISO standards. The site includes an application hub for co-developing advanced manufacturing projects with local partners, offering direct access to engineering expertise and testing. CEO Francesco De Stefano says the expansion marks a shift from presence to capability, enabling faster innovation and tailored solutions for the North American market. The move also supports domestic production and reduces emissions linked to overseas shipping.
