Mexican companies bet on technology to boost productivity

In the context of a competitive and challenging environment, Infor, the company specialized in business management software in the cloud, presented the results of its global survey How Possible Happens. This study, which covered more than 3,600 companies from 15 countries and 7 industrial sectors, revealed that 80% of the organizations consider technology as a key to increasing productivity.

In Mexico, the report highlighted that 76% of companies expect to increase their productivity by more than 20% over the next three years, while 83% plan to increase their technology investment by at least 20%. James Barroso, Infor's director of strategy in Latin America, “These results show how companies are recognizing the crucial role of technology in staying competitive in a dynamic marketplace. However, the real transformation occurs when organizations adopt a deep cultural change that allows them to take full advantage of these tools”.

The study highlighted four essential activities to increase productivity: process optimization, organizational agility, adoption of a data-driven culture, and focus on customer satisfaction. However, it also identified common pitfalls in digitization processes, such as resistance to change, lack of strategic support, and preference for legacy systems over cloud solutions.

In addition, the report highlighted how emerging technologies, such as generative artificial intelligence, are accelerating the need for digital transformation. “The challenge is not just to implement technology, but to do so with a focus on value creation. This is what really differentiates the most productive organizations,” he said.

With these results, Infor highlighted the urgency for Mexican companies to adopt innovative technology solutions and overcome the obstacles associated with digitization to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage.
