Canadian Contingent To Bi-Mu/Sfortec 2010 Trade Show

The 27 edition of BI-MU/SFORTEC, one of the world's largest trade shows in the metal working machinery and equipment sector, took place from October 5th  to 9th 2010 in Milan, Italy.

As usual, the Italian Trade Commission, in collaboration with UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, invited delegations of companies - end users of machinery and equipment - from various countries, worldwide, including Canada, to a trip to Italy, visiting the BI-MU/SFORTEC 2010.

This year’s Canadian contingent to BIMU/SFORTEC 2010 was made up of 6 delegates, representing the following companies:

 Pro Flange Ltd (Cambridge, On),

Tara Precision (Saanichton, BC),

Jensen Powers Train (Fredericton, NB), 

Messier Dowty (Ajax, ON),

Tycos Tool and Die (Concord, On),

Norwest Precision Ltd (Weston, On.).

BIMU trade show has now passed the half a century of life. Featured technology and equipment  - offering a complete overview of the entire sector, from metal forming and cutting to automation  - included machine tools, robots, automation and relevant auxiliary products, (NC, tools, components and accessories) and technical sub-contracting.

The 2010 edition the biannual international trade show met a great success of attendance. Over 60,047 visitors registered at the bi-annual show, over 2,996 foreign visitors from 75 countries and 44% of exhibiting companies from abroad, on a exhibition surface of over 90,000 sqm.
