Within the next few months, Italy's MTA SpA's US subsidiary, MTA USA Corp. plans to relocate its current 5,000 square-foot office to a 30,000 square-foot facility in Schaumburg (Illinois). The expansion will add manufacturing and assembly operations, as well as an estimated five new jobs. According to Jim Feltman, vice president of development with the Schaumburg Center for Economic Development, that number is expected to grow over time, as MTA plans to build out in the next three years, creating another 50 jobs.
MTA SpA is a leading company in the design and production of electronic and electro-mechanic components for the Automotive, the Off-Highway and Race industry, in Italy and worldwide. Founded in 1954, MTA has now two production units in Italy (Codogno and Concordia) and five foreign branches, with a total turnover of approximately 120 Million Euros and 800+ employees.
