The OCMIS Acquired By The US Fund Carlyle
After half a century of history, OCMIS, the Modena-based company that produces irrigation systems enters an international fund with an endowment of 6.4 billion euros. Global investment firm Carlyle today announced an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Ocmis Group, a leading manufacturer of advanced irrigation systems for the agricultural sector, with historical shareholders, including the Montorsi family and management team.

Founded in 1970 and based in Castelvetro di Modena, Ocmis designs, manufactures and sells a complete range of technologically advanced solutions for sprinkler irrigation and related accessories for the agricultural sector.

The company employs over 200 people in Italy in three locations with a strong global footprint, thanks to its presence in over 60 countries through a consolidated network of over 650 specialized dealers. In 2021, OCMIS recorded a total turnover of 85 million euros, with an operating margin well above 20%.
