Cinisello Balsamo 17 December 2019. The year 2019 marked the end of the positive trend, started in 2014 by the Italian machine tool, robot and automation industry. Nevertheless, the registered decrease is very moderate and shows how the values of the main economic indicators are returning to normal levels, after the exploit supported by the measures of Industry/Enterprise 4.0.
Over the first six months of 2017, 5,109 machines have been sold in the Italian market, up 6% compared to last year. In deeper detail, the sector of earth moving machines grows 6% with 4,910 machines sold, while road equipment increases by 9% (199 machines sold).
2016 closed with a positive sign: this is the final result of a 12-month period characterized by a clearly positive trend of technology, equipment and tools for wood and wood-based materials. In 2015, the world economy has recorded a deceleration in growth, with divergent trends in advanced economies and developing countries. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), global GDP grew by 3.1% in 2015, against +3.4% in 2014, as a result of the slower recovery in the advanced countries (+1.9% against +1.8% in 2014) and a further slowdown in some emerging markets (+4.0% against +4.6% in 2014).
