The San Crispino Company was founded in 1946 by Mr. Ugo Maino, and initially built small machines for repairing shoes. Over the years it has developed specialized equipment offering more complete regulations. To date, its production can also serve podiatrists and orthopedic equipment and machinery suitable for manufacturing of insoles, shoes and orthopedic implants. It is currently managed by his three sons, Giampaolo, Gianluigi and Gabriel and now for many years La San Crispino is considered a leader in the footwear industry.
Thanks to the constant presence in the various Italian and international exhibitions, the company has made the name "The San Crispino" known as well as its products worldwide. To date, much of the production is exported all over the world confirming the validity and quality of the articles produced.

The founder wanted to name the company in honor of the patron saint of shoemakers, St. Crispin. The San Crispino offers machines for finishing multipurpose grinding, milling, brushing and polishing complete with internal suction. They also offer hydraulic presses for gluing the soles and heels, and workbenches with fans incorporated into the plan for the evolution of solvents. There are also centers whose complete set up, workshops and vacuum presses are catered to the creation of orthotics custom shapes. The company is the official dealer in Italy of the sewing arm Claes, the best in the world, that are manufactured in Germany and are particularly suitable for sewing leather.
