FABTECH Mexico 2023 breaks attendance record with high-tech machinery exhibition

with more than 400 exhibiting companies from more than 25 countries, 300 machines in operation, 25,000 m2 of exhibition floor, 31 specialized conferences, two specialized courses for welding and finishing, as well as a successful Business Meeting, sponsored by Mexico Industry, which attracted buyers from all over the country, generating more than 200 one-on-one appointments between those who offer and demand products and services.

Participants agreed that FABTECH Mexico, more than an exhibition, is a strategic ally in manufacturing processes, as it promotes the transfer of knowledge to all companies linked to the metal-mechanical sector to make them more productive, reduce operating costs, have more reliable results and, above all, the ability to adapt more flexibly to a changing context.

David Klotz, president of the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA), on behalf of the organizing companies, said he was excited to share with participants the knowledge and experience needed to take their business to the next level. He added that "the success of the exhibition lies in the fact that it really adds value to Mexican and Latin American industrialists by bringing, hand in hand with the exhibitors, cutting-edge solutions for the entire manufacturing process".

In this regard, Jerónimo García de Brahi, CEO of HERRAMENTAL, a FOREM Group company and industry expert, reiterated that for companies the exhibition is a platform for learning and collaboration. "Here we come together as an industry to share ideas, learn from each other and forge new alliances. As a participant and industry expert, I am convinced that this event is critical to our growth and development. Without a doubt, innovation is made here. At every booth, at every conference, at every meeting, we are building the future of our industry."

Currently, the metal-mechanic industry is going through a stage of profound and rapid transformation, in which Mexican industrialists have been resilient and adapted to economic and technological challenges, demonstrating an impressive capacity to innovate, grow and create value, said García de Brahi.

In this scenario of challenges and great opportunities, FABTECH Mexico once again fulfilled its commitment to contribute to Mexico's metal-mechanic industry continuing to be highly productive, supporting sustained growth as seen in recent decades, with concepts such as intelligent manufacturing, industrial internet of things and industry 4.0, which were the technological axes present in the four specialized pavilions for each production process.

During his visit to the exhibition floor, Fadlala Akabani, Secretary of Economic Development of Mexico City, highlighted that "FABTECH Mexico is a key space for productive linkages and the promotion of productive investment in machinery and equipment in the manufacturing industries, which are a key sector for the economic growth of Mexico and Mexico City, since they serve strategic sectors such as automotive and aerospace".
