Responding to COVID-19: Industry Leadership Honors is a virtual event, organized by Canadian Manufacturing, part of the Annex Business Media group, the country's largest publisher of industry magazines, at which honors and awards are presented to Canadian manufacturing companies that have distinguished themselves in the fight against COVID-19. Winners in the various categories (DPP, respirators, medicines and disinfectants, direct/indirect engagement and support, and others) are chosen by a jury of journalists, industry professionals, institutions and local authorities, from a shortlist of nominees nominated by the reading public of Annex Business Media magazines and/or recommended by partners and sponsors.

The awards ceremony will take place on Sept. 17 in Toronto starting at 11 a.m. EST, with links and speakers from around the country and live via streaming. A recording of the event will be posted on the Canadian Manufacturing website, which will also provide' pre-post event media coverage. Machines Italia is one of the partners in the initiative and will present a special award to Canadian manufacturing companies that have used and are using Italian machinery and technology to cope with the emergency.

To report stories of interest from Canadian customers for the purpose of the Machines Italia special award, an online form must be completed by Aug. 17.
