Machines Italia Magazine Vol. XIII: Now Online!
The new edition of Machines Italia Magazine, produced by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) as part of the promotional campaign of the same name in favor of Italian mechanics, is now available online on the dedicated portal at www.old.machinesitalia.org/magazine.

The magazine, which consists of 36 color pages, was attached to the October 2020 edition of Manufacturing & Engineering magazine (20,000 readers) and Smart Manufacturing magazine (10,000 readers). Distribution in the U.S. of the print version has thus reached 30,000 Top Executive or C-Level readers, while in electronic format the same publication will be sent to another 400,000 readers.

In Canada, the magazine was distributed in print (500 copies in direct mailing) and electronic format (10 thousand recipients) to readers subscribing to the industrial publication Plant magazine

The 2020 edition of the magazine, the thirteenth, titled Next Generation Manufacturing - Smart Data - Smart Automation - Smart Workers promotes Italian machinery and technologies to North American manufacturing industries, focusing on excellence, the innovative content of made-in-Italy offerings, smart management of production resources and workforce, and overcoming operational challenges in automation and production processes.

Serving as a backdrop for Volume XIII are the countless socio-economic complexities generated by the COVID 19 pandemic that have forced Italian companies, and industrial machinery manufacturers first and foremost, to rethink approaches and strategies for North America, which continues, despite everything, to be Italy's main target market outside the European Union.

The publication of the magazine cannot come at a better time, since, as MarketsandMarkets recently pointed out, the value of the global smart technology manufacturing market will reach $384.8 billion by 2025, with an annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.4 percent from 2020 to 2025.

Factors that will drive the market's growth include the progressive adoption of Industry 4.0, the growing emphasis on industrial automation in manufacturing processes, continued government involvement in supporting industrial automation with an emphasis on regulatory compliance, increased complexities in the supply chain, and increased demand for software systems that reduce time and cost.

In addition to the topics just mentioned, the magazine illustrates concrete cases of North American end users successfully employing advanced technology tools provided by Italian companies in the sectors covered by Ice's Machines Italia program.

Other sections of the magazine are dedicated to illustrating technologies and machinery solutions available to North American companies, and to presenting opportunities and information on the various sectors of instrumental mechanics and updates on major trade fair events in Italy.

The print edition of the magazine carries the article titled "USMCA survey says Italian machinery is durable and high quality" developed based on the latest SME-ICE survey of about 500 North American companies that shows a good level perception about the quality of products and services offered.

In addition, the digital edition of the magazine will present the results of a second SME-ICE survey currently underway, focusing on how North American companies are affected by COVID-19 and how they are adapting their supply chains and ways of conducting business while integrating new technologies to make them successful.

All articles and editorial material published are the result of collaboration with companies and trade associations.

As part of the promotion of the magazine, the agency will host a live online event with SME featuring some of the testimonials featured in this issue of the magazine aimed primarily at the North American audience.

The magazine has already been featured with an article within the September 2020 issue of Manufacturing & Engineering Magazine where the announcement of its release was given with a 4-color advertising page.

In print format, the magazine has already had two (2) direct distributions to target audiences at the following virtual trade shows.

IMTS Spark, a virtual event organized by Association for Manufacturing Technology from September 21, 2020 to March 16, 2021

36th annual AME International Conference organized by Association for Manufacturing Excellence in Canada from October 27-29, 2020.
In digital format you can find the edition in the resourses inside the virtual booth of the Agency during the Pack Expo Connects 2020 exhibition from November 9 to 13, 2020.
