ASSAGO, ITALY -- Italian plastics and rubber machinery makers expect to produce 4.2 billion euros ($5.5 billion) in equipment this year, with exports of 2.6 billion euros ($3.45 billion), according to Italy's plastic and rubber machinery association Assocomaplast. The association examined imports and exports from the first nine months of the year and found that exports increased 9 percentage points, while imports increased 2 percent. Italy Invests in Mexico - Zanini Auto Group to Open Production in Mexico

With an investment of $US 10 million, The Italian company, Zanini Auto Group, will open a production plant in Tamaulipas to manufacture plastic automotive parts. The Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism (Sedet) of Tamaulipas, stated that the project will generate about 240 jobs. The company plans to construct the plant in the border city of Reynosa.
