The Metal Forming Committee – gathering almost thirty enterprises that are members of UCIMU and work in the metal forming and metalworking field – expressed its unanimous decision to take part in the next EMO MILANO 2021.
Promoted by CECIMO, the European Association of Machine Tool Industries, and organised by the operational structures of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian machine tools, robots and automation systems manufacturers' association, EMO MILANO 2021, the leading world exhibition for metalworking industry, will take place at fieramilano Rho from 4 to 9 October, when the recovery of investment should already have started.
Massimo Carboniero, President of UCIMU: “Our factories are safe places and have reduced labor intensity. Therefore, we should have a green light to resume our production activities right away”. “Health and safety come first, but we should get used to living with Coronavirus, while at the same time guaranteeing work, employment, and production”.
Already 466 companies have sent their applications to exhibit at 32.BI-MU, the international exhibition of reference in Italy for the machine tool sector, held at fieramilano Rho from Wednesday 14 to Saturday 17 October 2020. It will document how the matching between manufacturing world and digital technologies is accompanying the development of the industry, also according to the new principles of circular economy.
Undisputed leader in the scenario of the exhibitions regarding the sector, EMO represents the articulated world of metalworking in the best way, combining vision and innovation, as proven by the data of the previous Italian edition (EMO MILANO 2015), hosting 1,600 exhibiting companies, on an exhibit area of 120,000 sq. m.
November 2019 – The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) is pleased to announce the North American winners of its annual technology awards (see Attachment A in the PDF for a full list). Essays by engineering students based in several renowned Universities in Canada, Mexico and the United States were selected by panels of Italian experts for their outstanding quality and innovativeness.
The year 2017 was extremely positive for the Italian industry of machine tools, robotics and automation, registering double-digit increases for all main economic indicators, except for that of exports that however started growing again after the downturn in 2016. The year 2018 will be just as positive, confirming the excellent situation that the sector has been experiencing.
LAMIERA, the international exhibition dedicated to the metal forming machine tool industry and to all innovative technologies related to the sector, chooses Milan as its new stage. It will be held May 17-20, 2017 at the prestigious and modern exhibition centre of fieramilano Rho which will host the new edition of LAMIERA.
