Italy's OMB Valves SpA selected Stafford, Texas located just southwest of Houston, for its Western Hemisphere headquarters. Keith Southland, OMB Valves director of sales in the Americas, when asked on the location’s selection for a December 21, 2011 Houston Business Journal article was quoted to say, "It's just a perfect site from a distribution and manufacturing standpoint."

OMB Valves expects to invest over $5.5 million for its operations within a 42,000-square foot building in Stafford, while bringing 20 new jobs to the area. The facility will handle the company's business for both North and South America along with shipping products worldwide. A second expansion phase is already underway, to double both employment and the size of the facility within a two-to-five year period.

The company projects the Texas-based facility to generate upwards of $30 million in annual sales. An impressive projection given OMB Valves currently has annual sales of about $135 million worldwide.
