Clone of Italy's Grupporeco To Invest $28 Million In First U.S. Facility
Grupporeco, a global manufacturer of components for household appliances will establish its first U.S. facility in eastern North Carolina, state officials announced.

Grupporeco plans to produce dishwasher components at a new $28 million plant in Kingston, North Carolina. The company, headquartered in Italy, makes coated dishwasher baskets, steel wire and tube components, and aluminum tubing and components for major appliance companies.

Company officials said they were "excited to have the project start very soon" after a challenging, time-consuming process amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Its new U.S. subsidiary, RECO U.S. Inc., will move the company’s manufacturing and product development operations closer to its clients in the U.S. The project is expected to create 110 new jobs.

"The U.S. is a key market for our growth and we look forward to cooperating intensively to make Grupporeco’s arrival a success for our company and the local stakeholders," Grupporeco President and CEO Vincenzo Locatelli said in a statement.

State economic development officials approved an incentive package that could reimburse the company up to $918,000 over 12 years, provided the company meets its capital investment and job creation targets.
