The fourth edition of SelectUSA Investment Summit, an event organized by the U.S. government to present investment opportunities in the United States, is now upon us. From June 18 to June 20, 2017, at the Gaylord Resort in Washington, D.C., which will host the event, some 1,100-plus delegates are expected to attend, as well as the participation of some 20 of the Italian companies that make up one of the largest delegations from EU countries.ICE Agenzia again this year promoted the event, as a partner of SelectUSA (a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce), during the SelectUSA road show in Italy, which stopped in Milan, Vicenza and Rome between February and March.
Italian participants in the 2017 edition of the Summit included major Italian companies from the automotive, aerospace, food, energy, mechanical instrumentation, logistics, energy, IT, industrial design, banking and business services sectors.
Some Italian companies have already announced investments of several million dollars in the past six months. These are the factories (already' started or in the process of opening) of Italian companies such as Varvel (Georgia), Siliconature (Michigan), Advanced Ceramic Coatings, a joint venture between GE Aviation and Turbocoating SpA (North Carolina), and Magneti Marelli, which will increase production capacity at its plant (Automotive Lighting) in Michigan.
ICE-Agenzia will also organize, together with the Embassy of Italy in Washington and SelectUSA, a network briefing with Italian companies participating in the event. The network briefing will be held on June 19 at the Gaylord Resort
