Machines Italia Lands in Fort Worth, Texas
Paul O’Brien, CEO MediaTech Ventures moderated an amazing panel of Entrepreneurs during the November 10th, 2021 virtual event, Media Evolution, an International Panel Discussion. The organizers had requested the Desk of Machines Italia USA to provide an overview on the dynamic Italian ecosystem for entrepreneurship, and where opportunities were for US VCs, Seed Funders and various others to connect with said ecosystem.
 
Long time Silicon Valley technology and startup veteran, Paul O’Brien serves the entrepreneur and venture capital economies as a teacher and thought leader. He’s the founder of MediaTech Ventures, a founder and managing director of Funded House, and a Texas Director of Founder Institute. A seasoned marketer with an early career at Yahoo! and HP, Paul led the early growth of a series of acquired and successful startups, and was profiled in the book, Online Marketing Heroes. Beyond his leadership in MediaTech Ventures and for startups and investors, his work is instrumental in Texas and throughout the U.S. economy of innovation.

  • Bart Pascoli – Project Coordinator – Italian Trade Agency: Bart’s past experiences include working as a journalist for the Associated Press Rome, Italy Bureau; Trade Analyst for the U.S. Foreign Commercial Service in the U.S. Embassy in Rome, Italy; Manufacturing Management/Restructuring Consultant in the NAFTA market with George S. May Company, Park Ridge, Illinois; and Project Specialist for the Mutual Trading Corporation in Chicago where he conducted trade relationships in Asia, Africa and South America.
  • Camilo Osuna – Director of Digital and Creative Industries: Currently a business director at ProColombia with a major focus on Business Outsourcing, Digital Transformation, New Content Development (Animation, AR/VR, Videogaming), Camilo is an MBA from the National Taiwan University, and has a demonstrated history of working in international business for 13 years.
  • Gerome Vanherf – Director Entertainment & Tech: With 15 years experience in entrepreneurship and innovation, Gerome’s daily job is to create connections between start-up and corporate entities in the Entertainment sector through programs such as Wallifornia. He is in charge of the corporate venturing strategy at LeanSquare’s, a VC based in Liège, Belgium, which invests in digital start-ups (Entertainment / Impact / B2B Software) and has just opened “La Grand Poste”, an 8000 square meter emblematic building located in the center of Liège city.
