R.B.M. ITALIA produces polishing wheels for flat glass. R.B.M. wheels are used on the most common straight edgers, double edgers and beveling machines.
The main production is divided into three main branches:  synthetic rubber wheels, resin wheels and cerium oxide wheels.



Among R.B.M.’s most popular and best performing wheels:

• 9RS A red/brown color wheel made of a rubber based material mix and abrasives. This wheel is used for the first polishing of edges and is suitable for edges of various thicknesses and processing conditions.  It is recommended for double edgers by the following makers: Schiatti, Busetti, Bavelloni, Bottero. The rubber based mix is extremely soft and malleable and self-repairs while working.
• X09   The most recent of the R.B.M. of cerium oxide products. The X09 wheel can work at a high rotation speed (3400 R.P.M.). It is used in the final polishing step on all types of machinery with excellent results in terms of polishing and duration.
• MB1 A hard, black color resin wheel generally used for polishing arrises. In the polishing process, the MB1 resin wheel is used after the diamond wheel as it has a 400 mesh. The lower mesh version, the MB2 (280 mesh), may be used without the diamond wheel preliminary polishing step.
• B80   A synthetic rubber and abrasive wheel which is mostly used for the removal of the new generation low E glass films. It can be used on cutting tables and manual machines. It is produced in peripheral shape only and is available in several meshes (B46-B80-B100-B150) and sizes.
