The quarterly publication is sent directly to more than 4500 companies and a number still
greater receives it thanks to "bounce back" from some Trade Associations.
This issue's "Focus" is on Mexico with special reference to the automotive sectors,
energy, construction and infastructures. All sectors that at this time seem to be the ones
driving the economy of a country that, according to George Friedman of the New York Times, is on its way to
become an economic powerhouse in manufacturing, indeed the new manufacturing giant of
this century.
In addition to news on the activities of the Machines Italia project, on information about the
economic and trade related to the three NAFTA countries and the latest statistics
on interchange for the fifteen sectors covered by Machines Italia, in this issue we give
information (in the upcoming column) on two interesting trade missions that
Confindustria and other partners are organizing with the collaboration of Ice-Agenzia in Canada
in October and to the United States in November. For more information on these initiatives are
