$45.6 Million For Stanpac Inc
Stanpac Inc, a Canadian ice cream package and glass container printing company, has announced a $45.6 million (Euro 34 million) investment to increase capacity at its Smithville, Ontario, plant by adding as many as four new fully automated production lines and new digital technologies.
The investment will enable Stanpac to serve the growing demand for printing services coming primarily from the U.S. market.
As a result of the investment, 50 new jobs will be integrated into the Smithville plant workforce bringing the total workforce to 400. Stanpac, founded in 1949, with sales of $100 million a year is the largest employer in the small town located a few kilometers west of Toronto.
