Last May 17-20, Macchine, Lamiera, a biennial exhibition dedicated to systems and equipment for processing sheet metal, pipes, profiles, wires and metal carpentry, as well as molds, welding technologies, heat treatments , surface treatment and finishing, was held in the Fiera Milano Rho hub.
The Milan debut of the event, which again this year was enriched by the usual program of seminars, presentations, and demonstrations, recorded record numbers: 23,579 visitors, 15 percent more than the previous edition, 480 exhibitors, 25 percent more than the previous edition.
9% of the access was made by visitors from abroad thus turned out to be almost twice as many as those present at the 2016 edition. In this regard, ICE-Agenzia and UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, invited 110 foreign buyers from 13 countries including Algeria, Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, India, Iran, Morocco, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Serbia and Turkey to the event, organizing a program of more than 1,600 meetings between foreign delegates and Italian companies at the fair.

Machines Italia Mexico and Canada invited nearly 20 North American operators to attend Lamiera 2017.
