Fedrigoni Group Grows In Mexico
Fedrigoni, an industrial group headquartered in Verona and one of the world's leading manufacturers of paper for packaging, wrapping, publishing, graphics and labeling, reported strong sales growth in Mexico over the past 9 months.

The expansion strategy in the Latin American country had been initiated in early December 2020 when the company took over Industrial Papelera Venus, a company that develops, manufactures and distributes self-adhesive materials, a leader in the local market.

The acquisition was completed to increase production capacity, expand local supply, create favorable supply synergies, and strengthen the Italian group's presence in Central and South America and the southern U.S

The company's interest -active since 1888- to have a presence in the country was reconfirmed at the end of the first half of this year with the acquisition of Rimark, a modern cutting and distribution center for the self-adhesive products division, and will enable the group to meet the needs of the market, ensuring a more reliable service with reduced delivery times and availability of a wider range of premium papers and high-quality self-adhesive materials. Equipped with an even larger capacity with two-meter wide cutters, Rimark will play the role of a strategic service platform for the North and Central American market, together with Industrial Papelera Venus.

The new production and sales hub formed by Rimark and IP Venus reinforces Fedrigoni's position as the world's third-largest self-adhesive label manufacturer with the Arconvert, Manter and Ritrama brands. The Italian company is, in addition, the world leader for labels in the wine sector and plays a leading role in the food, household and logistics sectors, as well as in high-tech adhesive films for pharmaceutical, beverage and personal care products.

U.S. investment firm Bain Capital has controlled Fedrigoni since December 2017 when it bought 90 percent of the company for 650 million euros.
