ICH to install new steel plant

CH Industries informed today that through Grupo Simec it will carry out the project to install in the north of the country a plant to manufacture special steels (SBQ), which will have a capacity of 600 thousand tons per year.

In a press release, the company said that the new plant will require an investment of 700 million dollars, which will be financed with its own resources.

The board also approved the installation of a new plant for the manufacture of helical (spiral) pipe, which will allow the company to manufacture pipes of up to 100 inches in diameter and a wall thickness of one inch.

He indicated that both projects have been approved by the board of directors of ICH and SIMEC in response to the growing demand for its products from the automotive and petrochemical industries.
