Machines Italia and ACIMALL, Association of Italian Woodworking Machinery and Accessories Manufacturers, participated in the Woodworking Machinery & Supply (WMS) Conference and Expo, held Nov. 2-4, 2017, at the International Centre in Mississauga, ON.
The WMS, with about 250 exhibitors, 50 product categories and 5,000 visitors is Canada's leading woodworking industry event.
Through the institutional booth, Machines Italia and ACIMALL provided information and assistance to local companies and Italian companies - numerous - at the fair.
The Mississauga event was chosen to promote the next edition of the biennial wood technology event Xylexpo, to be held in Milan, May 8-12, 2018, in the halls of the Fiera Milano Rho complex. ACIMALL Director Dario Corbetta outlined the advantages for Candian companies to visit and exhibit at Xylexpo 2018, during a Keynote Luncheon, held Nov. 2 at WNS, attended by Sylvain Garneau, Chairman and CEO of Groupe Lacasse, a major Canadian manufacturer of office and commercial furniture. During the event, again for the purpose of promoting Xyelxpo 2018, a video was made with testimonails from three Canadian distributors of Italian machinery who have visited Xylexpo in the past, with very positive experiences and business results:
