he Canadian federal government has announced plans to finance and build a high-speed/frequency rail line to connect Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec city-the most densely populated urban centers in the east of the country.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be issued by this fall. The project has an estimated value of CAD $4.7 to $9.6 billion and is expected to be completed by 2030.
