Meat Tech 2018
MEAT-TECH 2018, which will be held from May 29 to June 1 at Fiera Milano Rho in conjunction with and as part of IPACK-IMA, is one of the world's largest trade fairs for meat processing and packaging technologies. Supporting the initiative in addition to UCIMA, Unioni Costruttori Italiani Macchine Automatiche per il confezionamento e l'imballaggio, co-organizer of the event together with the trade fair body, are ASSICA, Associazione Industriali delle Carni e dei Salumi, which represents companies involved in the production of cured meats (processed pork and beef products) and pork slaughtering, ANIMA ASSOFOODTEC, Associazione Italiana Costruttori Macchine, Impianti, Attrezzature per la Produzione, la Lavorazione e la Conservazione Alimentare, with its various member associations: COMACA, Costruttori Italiani Macchine per la Lavorazione delle Carni; the Costruttori Affettatrici, Tritacarne ed Affini; and the Unione Costruttori Impianti Frigoriferi.
Meat Tech 2018 is expected to exceed all expectations, also in light of the success of the first edition of the event in 2015, which recorded a substantial influx of visitors; nearly 80,000, 28 percent of whom were foreign from 130 countries.
Technologies on display included; slaughtering systems, slaughtering technologies, meat processing and processing technologies, packaging and wrapping technologies and materials, fish and seafood processing technologies, refrigeration systems, ingredients, spices, additives for meat processing, meat processing materials, equipment for cleaning, hygiene and safety of the working environment, workspace set-ups, point-of-sale equipment, fresh meat, frozen meat, consortia, importers, meat promotion offices, service companies, consulting, information technology, and press.
ICE Agency and UCIMA are planning to organize an incoming of foreign delegates, more than 50, to Meat Tech 2018. Target areas include Eastern Europe, North and South America, the Middle East and Asia.
Also planned are 10 operators from Canada and the US, whose selection will be made by the Toronto and Chicago Desks.
